Double Dutch
This is the first time for Camp Zama’s YSF program to offer Double Dutch, and we are excited to get this started and running. This program is part of our health and fitness commitment to youth and should be a fun experience for all. What is Double Dutch? Double Dutch is a rhythmic dance done with two jump ropes. Teams consist of three or more participants who take turns jumping to hip hop or other kinds of music. There are various kinds of events that feature one person or team dancers; with two players turning the jump ropes.
Ages: All children ages 9-18 years of age are welcomed to participate in this program. If you are not contacted by June 22, please call the YSF office immediately at 263-5437/4066.
Practices: Begin the week of June 15 and will be two times a week, depending on the volunteer coaches schedule, and will be held at the Youth Center. The season will end August 15. Since this is the first time to offer this program, the sign up is FREE! We will supply the jump ropes, facility and music.
Sports Physicals are required to register – please bring a copy of a current sports physical with you when registering. If your child does not have a current sports physical, parents should schedule a physical with the clinic. Physical forms are available at the CYS Central Enrollment Registry Office, or under the Forms tab on this page. If you have questions please feel free to contact us at the Youth Sports & Fitness office.
